NEW: Jane's Riding Habit!
Introducing one of the final designs in the Jane Austen Collection: "Jane was therefore obliged to go on horseback, and her mother attended her to the door with many cheerful prognostics of a bad day." - Pride & Prejudice, ch. 7
Inspired by this equestrian journey to the Bingley's, Jane's Riding Habit is a dress I have dreamed of making for a long time. This design is based on extant examples of riding habits and made in a lightweight wool. Made of two pieces, it can mix-and-match with other items in your Regency wardrobe to create greater variety, as well.

from 43 reviewsBought this as a Victorian dress reform outfit. It is fabulous and exactly what we wanted!
This gown is well made and you can tell! I adore the gather/shirring at the front, such a quintessential Victorian detail. It came in time and was a perfect fit!
Tiffany made my wedding dress for me! It was a custom white wedding dress inspired by the pink ballgown worn by the Countess Anna von Hallwyl in 1865. It was a huge ballgown with the hoop skirt and petticoat totaling to 185 inches around, but if you can’t be a princess on your wedding day, when can you be? It was a custom made dress tailor made to my measurements, including any detail I could dream up, but the price was cheaper than most wedding dresses you’d try on in store. Tiffany went with me to pick out lace for the dress so that it would drape just right, invited me to her home for multiple fittings, and even dropped the dress off at my house when it was done! Throughout the whole process, she was incredibly detailed, thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She would send me pictures updating me on the dress’s progress and asking me questions. Her craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail truly blew me away and it felt like I waltzed out of real life and straight into a fairytale just due to her gorgeous dress. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect wedding dress if I tried! I’m so grateful to Tiffany and Stitchin’ Addiction for all her hard work on my romantic, dreamy, once in a lifetime wedding dress. Thank you so much!
I am a hard to fit lady. I am pear shaped with small shoulders and a very wide hip. This dress is made to every detail as I asked. It is the perfect dress for reenactment! Absolutely gorgeous and I could not have asked for better communication. I will be a return customer!
I just received my dress and it is beautiful! Tiffany was so helpful and communicative during the whole process & I really appreciated that. The quality of the dress is amazing and I would definitely come back for any needed accessories😊
The dress fits perfect and looks Real nice. Commincatipn works wonderfull.
I love my new spencer from Stitchin' Addiction. It fits beautifully, and I am so grateful for Tiffany's attention to quality and detail. I have received many compliments on it at the events to which I have worn it thus far, and it is very comfortable, in addition to looking marvelous.
beautifully made gorgeous cotton skirt with a perfectly pleated waistband and huge POCKETS! the details are just unreal, right down to the channel detail on the hem where you can add cording if you like to stiffen the hem a little. every time i look, i see something else to admire in this skirt. already got lots of compliments on it, too--and it washes beautifully and doesn't even wrinkle! love love love!
Dear Tiffany, thank you so much for your patience, for your guidance and for creating this extraordinary Regency dress. It arrived today, and I am so happy!
Petra
Once again Tiffany has created a stunning gown for me. She kept in constant contact with me to discuss options and preferences. The gown fits perfectly and is beautifully sewn. I can’t wait to wear it to a ball in May.
I ordered a pale green version of this dress after purchasing the original in white about a year ago, the latter quickly became one of my all time favorite Regency gowns. As always, it is beautifully made and historically accurate. Tiffany's commitment to quality, attention to detail, and thoughtful design make her work a cut above the rest. And who doesn't want a Lizzie Bennett (1995) dress in two colors?!? Love it!
Fit the actress I needed it for perfectly, and the quality was outstanding, they advertise details and while corded petticoats are often bare, this one was incredibly well structured with not a stitch out of place. Undergarments are something I constantly need for productions and I will definitely come back to Stitch Addiction for any needs I might have in the future!
Tiffany was great to work with on this project. She listened carefully to my vision and ideas for this dress, and also brought her considerable expertise in historical fashion and sewing. I am delighted with the result, and would highly recommend working with her on any historical or literary sewing projects!
I had Tiffany, from Stichin’ Addiction make me a stunning Regency Ballgown from a fashion plate I loved. At every stage Tiffany was in contact with me to check details, fabrics, embellishments, and finishes. The dress is gorgeous and fits perfectly.
I cannot wait to wear at the Jane Austen Festival in Bath, happening in September. Thank you Tiffany for my beautiful Regency Ballgown.
Exceeded my expectations! Would give her 10 stars if I could! I had a custom order and she went above and beyond to make this dream dress come to life! I can't express how excited I am to wear this! Thank you so much!!! Highly recommend!!!
