Caring for Your Historical Clothing

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Care instructions will depend on the fabric chosen.  All care instructions are included on the tag sewn in the garment, and we highly recommend that you watch our video on Caring for Your Historical Costumes.

Each item is made with durability in mind, so if it is made of cotton, linen, or polyester fabric, we try to construct it so that it can still be washed. However, items made of fibers such as silk and sometimes, wool must be dry cleaned.

Most items have been washed and dried before they are made, in order to take care of shrinkage. As a result, the seller is not responsible for any allergies to the detergent used in washing.

Items that have buttons on them come with an extra button sewn inside.  If you ever have questions on care, please feel free to contact us.
