Limited Edition: Mint Green Silk Ball Gown (1865-1869)

Inspired by an extant ball gown, this gown of mint green silk will ensure your dance card is full!

There is only ONE (1) available of this Limited Edition design, so purchase now if you want this ball gown!  It will will be made in the Amy's Ball Gown design (a $1,849 value) with different collar, trimmings, and sleeves to match the extant.  This gown will have a train (an add-on worth $99) to match the extant gown seen in this listing photo.  This ball gown will be made to replicate the extant gown as closely as possible and is available in all sizes from XS to 5X.

ALL THE DETAILS

This gown is made-to-order. Within 3-5 business days of receiving your order, I will send you a measurement worksheet listing the measurements required for a perfect fit. 

The ball gown features:

• a silk mint green taffeta
• fully interlined and boned bodice
• off the shoulder bodice
• ribbon through the neck of the dress and collar, to allow for adjustability
• a removable collar (berthe) made of netting
• a "v" at front center waist
• a back closure that laces up through hand sewn eyelets
• short, puffed sleeves
• a gored skirt with a width of 165" or more to fit over an elliptical skirt
• a hem facing of cotton
• two roomy pockets, hidden in the side seams of the skirt
• a train (which includes ties to bustle it up)

To achieve the correct historical silhouette, this gown is pictured over a corset, elliptical crinoline, and petticoats, but no corset, crinoline, or petticoats are included with this listing. This dress is made to fit over a historical corset and will not fit correctly over modern undergarments. However, if you would like your commissioned dress to fit over modern undergarments, please send an email, and I will be happy to oblige!

The dress will be hemmed to accommodate hoops and sit about 2" off the floor, based on the measurements you provide on the measurement worksheet.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Care instructions will be included with your order, but this silk ball gown will be dry clean only.

All fabrics are preshrunk, usually by prewashing.  Seller is not responsible for any allergic reactions to the detergent used in prewashing.

Items with buttons will arrive with an extra button sewn inside.
