Miss Lambe's Colorful Petticoat (1800-1815)
Miss Lambe's Colorful Petticoat (1800-1815)
Be your own Georgiana Lambe in a perfectly tailored, high-quality, historically accurate Regency era petticoat. Whether you are an attendee at an event, a historical reenactor, an actress in theatre, or an avid admirer of Jane Austen's works, this colorful petticoat will make you feel like the wealthy heroine in Austen's last unfinished work!
This colorful petticoat is based off extant gowns and fashion plates. Petticoat were made in colors so they could be worn in two different ways. First, they could be worn over a white shirtwaist for day wear. Secondly, they could be worn underneath sheer white dresses for afternoon and evening wear, adding a pop of color to the white.

To achieve the correct historical silhouette, this petticoat is pictured over a chemise, stays, and petticoat, but no chemise, stays, or petticoat are included with this listing. These garments are made to fit over stays and will not fit correctly over modern undergarments. However, if you would like your commissioned petticoat to fit over modern undergarments, please send a message, and I will be happy to oblige!
***This listing does NOT include the white shirtwaist. To get both the shirtwaist and the petticoat, order Miss Lambe's Morning Ensemble***
Measure your bust and waist and choose your size based on the pictured sizing guidelines. For the most accurate fit, please take the measurements while wearing your stays and other undergarments (i.e. chemise, petticoat, etc). The petticoat will be hemmed to sit about about 3" off the floor; this will be based on the measurements you enter in the personalization box.
