White evening gowns were the iconic dress of the Regency era and this gown is based off extant gowns and fashion plates. This sheer white gown can be paired with colorful petticoats, sashes, and other accessories to make you feel like the belle of the ball!
When you purchase a made-to-order item, you get the gown of your dreams by choosing the fabric from the drop-down options, providing measurements for a custom fit, and even purchasing extra available add-ons! ALL THE DETAILS
This gown is made-to-order: choose the size that you currently wear in contemporary sizing. Within 48 hours of receiving your order, I will send you a measurement worksheet listing the measurements required for a perfect fit.
The evening gown includes:
- 100% cotton white fabric (choose from the choices in the dropdown)
- a rounded neckline with a drawstring in bodice front
- underbust gathers
- a back closure of buttons
- short, puffed sleeves with narrow cuffs and a button closure
- a skirt that is gathered in back center, but fitted on the sides and front
- a tuck running around the hemline
PLEASE NOTE: Dress does NOT include the pictured ribbon sashes. Add the Regency Sash Add-on to your cart when you order to get a sash for your dress!
To achieve the correct historical silhouette, this gown is pictured over a chemise, stays, and petticoat, but no chemise, stays, or petticoat are included with this listing. This gown is made to fit over stays and will not fit correctly over modern undergarments. However, if you would like your commissioned dress to fit over modern undergarments, please send a message, and I will be happy to oblige!
Measure your bust and waist and choose your size based on the pictured sizing guidelines. For the most accurate fit, please take the measurements while wearing your stays and other undergarments (i.e. chemise, petticoat, etc). The dress will be hemmed to sit about about 2" off the floor based on the measurements you provide.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
A care card will be included with your order, but this cotton dress can be machine-washed on a cold, gentle cycle. It should be laid flat to dry and pressed with a warm iron.
All fabrics are preshrunk, usually by prewashing. Seller is not responsible for any allergic reactions to the detergent used in prewashing.
Items with buttons will arrive with an extra button sewn inside.
