Regency dresses were lightweight, so women wore pelisses, spencers, and other outerwear to keep warm when they went outside.  This pelisse is based on these extant pelisses and fashion plates.

This pelisse is a women's large (size 12-14) and is made to fit the following measurements. 

• Bust: 43"
• Underbust: 35"
• Back neck to floor: 61"
• Model is 5' 9"

The pelisse features:

• an olive green 100% cotton twill
• a fully lined bodice with 100% cotton sateen
• a collared neckline
• a front center hook and eye closure
• decorative trim

To achieve the correct historical silhouette, it is pictured over a chemise, stays, and petticoat, but no chemise, stays, or petticoat are included with this listing.

For the most accurate fit, please take the measurements while wearing your stays and other undergarments (i.e. chemise, petticoat, etc). Your body measurements should be 1-2" smaller than the pelisse measurements to allow for wearing ease.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

The pelisse can be machine washed in cold water on gentle cycle and tumble dried on low heat. It can be pressed with a warm iron.

All items are prewashed and preshrunk. Seller is not responsible for any allergic reactions to the detergent used in prewashing.

Items that have buttons on them come with an extra button sewn inside.
