Custom 1865 Wedding Gown for Morgan (Non-refundable Downpayment)

This is a custom listing reserved for Megan and is the first payment of three.

As a custom piece, this item is professionally handmade at my Texas (USA) studio and will be completed and ready for client pick up in time for bridal photos (mid to late May 2024), provided the first payment is made by September 31, 2023, and the final payment is made by March 31, 2023.

ALL THE DETAILS

Purchase of this listing includes the first several steps for creating a wedding gown based on the 1865 dress seen in the listing photo and according the specifications in this document.

These steps are:

• finalizing the dress details, including providing a sketch
• finding and purchasing the dress fabrics, the skirt lace, and the lace and embellishments for the bodice/collar (with feedback from the client)
• assisting the client, if needed, in taking accurate measurements via a video-conferencing platform (the measurement worksheet will be sent to your email 48 hours after this purchase and you can let me know if you are confident taking the measurements yourself or if you need help)
• a mock-up and in-person fitting of the dress bodice in January 2024

The dress will be created according to the specifications in the aforementioned document.

Once the steps have been completed, the final payment will be due, which will be between $2,850-$3,050; I will let you know the exact amount that will be due once the supplies have been purchased and the fitting completed (by January 31, 2024).  After that payment, work on the final gown will commence.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

A care card will be included with your order, but if you choose a silk or wool fabric, it will be dry clean only.  Most dresses made with cotton, linen, or polyester fabrics can be washed.

All fabrics are preshrunk, usually by prewashing.  Seller is not responsible for any allergic reactions to the detergent used in prewashing.

Items with buttons will arrive with an extra button sewn inside.
