Custom 1860s Dress Alterations for Kristina (Final Payment)

This is a custom listing reserved for Kristina and is the second payment of two.

As a custom piece, this item is professionally handmade at my Texas (USA) studio and will be shipped within 3-5 business days after receipt of final payment.

ALL THE DETAILS

Purchase of this listing pays the balance for the following alterations.

The alterations included:

• removing the existing bodice trim
• removing the bodice from the skirt, shortening the bodice, adding a plaid waistband, and reattaching the skirt 
• adding a plaid band at the hem to add length (from the length taken out at the bodice) and interest
• adding plaid epaulettes on the sleeves
• shortening the sleeves
• changing out the buttons and adding more buttons; making covered buttons out of the matching plaid
• tacking back the neckline to look like a lapel and adding a row of bias cut plaid trim to cover the buttonhole and coordinate with the rest of the dress

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

A care card will be included with your order, but if you choose a silk or wool fabric, it will be dry clean only.  Most dresses made with cotton, linen, or polyester fabrics can be washed.

All fabrics are preshrunk, usually by prewashing.  Seller is not responsible for any allergic reactions to the detergent used in prewashing.

Items with buttons will arrive with an extra button sewn inside.
