Be your own Anne Shirley in a perfectly tailored, high-quality, historically accurate Edwardian-era skirt. Whether you are an attendee at an event, a historical reenactor, an actress in theatre, or an avid admirer of Lucy Maud Montgomery's works, this skirt is perfect for long weekend walks, a day of teaching, or an evening with Gilbert!
The skirt and shirtwaist (blouse) became popular during the late 1800s, especially for working women. When looking at period photos, skirts like these were ubiquitous, and this versatile skirt can be worn with both your historical and everyday wardrobes. It is patterned based on original drafting instructions from the turn of the century.

ALL THE DETAILS
This skirt is made-to-order: choose the size that you currently wear in contemporary sizing and choose the fabric combination from the fabric choices. Within 3-5 business days of receiving your order, I will send you a measurement worksheet listing the measurements required for a perfect fit.
This skirt includes:
- the wool, cotton, or linen fabric of your choice with a stiff cotton hem facing
- five gored panels in the skirt with a box pleat in center back
- a narrow waistband with a center back closure
- hemmed to sit about 1" off the ground in the front with a slight drag in the back
It is pictured with a shirtwaist, a belt, and the skirt trim add-on, but none of these are included with the purchase of this listing. If you would like these items, please add them to your cart, as well, when ordering.
Measure your waist to determine which size to order and choose your size based on the pictured sizing guidelines. For the most accurate fit, please take the measurements while wearing your corset and other undergarments (i.e. chemise, petticoat, etc). The skirt will be hemmed to sit about 1" off the floor; this will be based on the measurements you enter in your measurement worksheet.

Please refer to the measurement graphic in the listing and the video tutorial if you need assistance in understanding and taking your measurements. If you still have additional questions, please feel free to message me.
To achieve the correct historical silhouette, this set should be worn over combinations, a corset, and petticoat, but no combinations, corset, or petticoat are included with this listing. However, this skirt can also be worn with modern undergarments, if you prefer!
